Established in 1991, KOICA (KOICA International Cooperation Agency) has grown to a great extent over 30 years and has become a representative development cooperation agency of Korea making remarkable progress.
KOICA’s Mid-Term Sectoral Strategy 2016-2020 is one of its foundation in building a result-based management framework in line with the post-2015 global agenda for sustainable development. KOICA’s projects and programs are identified and developed with reference to the Mid-Term Sectoral Strategy and the Korean government’s Country Partnership Strategy (CPS). Through our development cooperation programs, KOICA plays an active and critical role in the implementation of Country Partnership Strategies(CPS). In respect to the national context of partner countries, the Korean government established the Country Partnership Strategies(CPS) for 24 core partner countries. Based on the direction of CPS, KOICA has implemented official development assistance in the form of aid. Tanzania is as one of the Korean government’s core partner country.
